Top line-up for the Nordschleife classic

• More than 140 entries for the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring

• Largest starting field of the past five years shines with fully occupied classes

• Four days of thrilling racing on the world's longest race track

Big line-up for the season highlight on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife: The entry list for the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring ( 19 - 22 June 2025) is finally official and is stronger than it has been for years: Over 140 vehicles will be competing for the prestigious trophy on Corpus Christi weekend, which will be hotly contested. In the top GT3 class alone, teams from eight different manufacturers will be battling it out for overall victory! And extremely promising battles are also in the air across the starting field in the 20 classes, some of which have very strong fields. All signs point to fantastic racing at the Full Throttle Festival, which fans should not miss. Tickets, information and of course the complete entry list can be found on the official homepage at www.24h-rennen.de.

The defending champions' starting number #1 belongs to Scherer Sport PHX this year, and the team would love to clinch the eighth overall victory in the team's history with the Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II. Christopher Haase, Luca Ludwig and Markus Winkelhock are making the attempt. And although Audi has officially withdrawn from GT3 racing and the beautiful R8s can therefore be considered ‘young used cars’, two pole positions in recent NLS races for the Juta team's Audi show that the Ingolstadt-based car is still a force on the race track. A total of four Audi R8s will compete, with Scherer PHX already facing powerful competition from its own team: it comes in the form of the Porsche 911 GT3 R, which the team from the Eifel region has been using since this year - because the ‘911s’ have been the measure of all things on the Nordschleife 2025 so far.

Porsche is the benchmark of this year's 24h

A Porsche 911 GT3 R has crossed the finish line as the winner in all races of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) this year. Most recently, Scherer PHX achieved a double victory in the two rounds of the 24h Qualifiers, which are also counted towards the NLS. Falken Motorsports won the first two NLS races and Manthey EMA also picked up a winner's trophy with the ‘Grello’ 911 with the distinctive #911 starting number. Manthey, like Scherer PHX with seven overall 24-hour victories to date and the leader in the race's eternal statistics, is sending an excellent team of drivers to the starting line and, like Scherer PHX and Falken, is therefore one of the close contenders for victory with Porsche. With a total of seven cars, the 911 GT3 R also leads the GT3 class in terms of numbers. The Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo and the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 are also represented four times each.

Strong driver line-ups and fascinating GT3 cars

The Mercedes-AMG GT3s were also among the front-runners time and again this year. Two of the three vehicles on the entry list are entered by Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed, which can also rely on extremely fast and reliable drivers. The Ford Mustang GT3 is a newcomer to the GT3 squad, which will have fans of American pony cars in particular clicking their tongues. HRT Ford Performance will be sending the new GT3s onto the track, in which many Nordschleife specialists will also be at the wheel. Finally, the BMW M4 GT3 Evo from Rowe Racing and the Ferrari 296 GT3 entered by Realize Kondo Racing can be regarded as ‘exotics’, each of which will only be represented once on the grid. In the case of Rowe, fans can always expect a surprise, as the team relies on very successful GT3 drivers who are also very familiar with the Nordschleife.

Strong line-up for the ‘class battle’

This year, over 140 vehicles will be competing in a total of 20 classes, from production cars to GT3s. In addition to SP9 (GT3), which has a large number of participants, other classes also stand out, in which fierce battles can be expected. For example, the two Cup classes reserved for defined Porsche models have a combined total of almost two dozen participants, some of whom also like to ‘poach’ in the GT3 field, especially in wet weather. Ten GT4 cars from five different manufacturers also make the category of the supposedly ‘smaller’ GTs a fiercely contested and exciting affair. At the other end of the performance scale, it is the ‘small’ production cars in VT2 that offer a variety of brands and participants. There are six front-wheel drive cars, ten rear-wheel drive cars and a total of six brands. Not forgetting the vehicles powered by alternative fuels. A total of eleven vehicles will be competing in this booming category, showing that fuels with an ever-increasing non-fossil content could be a model for the future.

Many exciting starters provide the best entertainment

When the wheels finally start turning in the first qualifying session on Corpus Christi Thursday, spectators can also look forward to some exotic cars that traditionally hold a special place in the hearts of fans. These include the Dacia Logan (#300) entered by ‘Ollis Garage’ in the SP3T and the ‘White-Angel’ VW Beetle RSR (#13) competing in the same class, which Bernd Albrecht's team has built and tuned from the ground up. But also the two small BMW 318ti (#275 / #277), which MDM Racing is entering with the help of RAVENOL, deserve a special round of applause. The PS underdogs from Ensdorf, built up with a lot of private initiative and enthusiasm, are one of the thoroughbred private teams that make up an important part of the 24h family. The Porsche 997 of the Saugmotoren Motorsport team (#97) can be seen in a similar light - probably the last representative of the sixth generation of the nine-eleven in the field, which was produced until 2012. But there are also brand new models. Dörr Motorsport will field a McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (#59) in the SP8T, which will be celebrating its first appearance at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. This is the brand's first appearance in the race since 2014. The Lynk & Co brand is making its very first appearance, entering the eternal statistics as the 68th make. The Lynk&o 03 TCR #827 will be entered by Fancy by Teamwork Motorsport for an all-Chinese team of drivers in the AT3 class. The list of exciting entries, debuts and details worth knowing could be continued almost indefinitely and show that the 53rd edition of the 24h Nürburgring remains a playground and showcase for ambitious teams, exciting technology and automotive innovations.
