- Christopher Haase the fastest driver on the Nordschleife on Thursday
- Two Lamborghini, an Aston Martin and a Porsche also make it into top qualifying
- Tickets still available at the box office or digitally for last-minute bookings
Perfect start for the defending champion: the #1 Scherer-Audi also set the first exclamation mark at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring 2025 on Thursday evening. Christopher Haase set the first fastest time of the day in 8:10.580 minutes, securing the all-new driver line-up a commanding place in Friday's top qualifying session (13:20). Haase had already been the fastest man at the Ring in the first qualifying session in the early afternoon and had even improved his time by almost four seconds in the evening. "Christopher drove the lap right at the start with the track clear. That lap was simply superb," said team-mate Luca Ludwig. The driver trio is completed by Markus Winkelhock.
In addition to the #1 Scherer-Audi, two Lamborghini, an Aston Martin and the #16 Scherer-Porsche secured the five unoccupied places in the top qualifying session on Thursday, for which twelve cars had already qualified in advance. Marco Mapelli from Italy and South African Jordan Pepper drove the #28 and #27 Abt-Lambos into the single time trial for pole position. In addition, Italy's Mattia Drudi for the #34 Walkenhorst-Aston and Laurens Vanthoor in the #16 Porsche from Scherer PHX booked the coveted final places in the top qualifying session.
This first highlight of the weekend, which also includes the Glickenhaus Trophy for the driver in pole position, can be watched live on RTL+ from 13:00 and in the live stream at www.24h-rennen.de/live from 13:15. On site, the Nordschleife is already well attended in summer weather conditions, but there is still room for last-minute fans. Tickets are available at the open box offices and digitally at www.24h-rennen.de/ticketbestellung/ throughout the entire event weekend. After the third qualifying session (16:15 to 17:45) and the second race of the touring car legends (18:30 to 18:55), the Nürburgring belongs entirely to the fans. First, drift artists from Falken and Monster will visit visitors to the Nordschleife on a lap of honor before demonstrating their driving skills at the traditional Falken Drift Show in the Müllenbachschleife. The pit walk through the pit lane, including an autograph session with the drivers, will take place at the same time.
The race weekend had already begun on Wednesday evening with the comeback of the Adenauer Racing Day, which had to be canceled last year due to road construction measures in the city center of the racing city on the Ring, much to the chagrin of many loyal motorsport fans. In front of a large fan backdrop, a colorful parade of around 30 racing cars from various classes wound its way through the main street towards the city center to the large show stage on the market square, where the two presenters Olli Martini and Patrick Simon were already waiting to introduce the individual drivers and teams to the participants.
